Live from southwest Michigan

I’m on vacation with Kathy and her family in South Haven, Michigan. We’re in a house less than a block from the lake. The weather is beautiful.

Most important: It’s early July, and I’m in the westernmost part of the Eastern time zone during some of the longest days of the year. It doesn’t get dark until 10 p.m. Sunset is at about 9:30.

I’ve already confessed my obsession over summer daylight. So this, as you can imagine, is awesome.

Get offline and enjoy your vacation!

If you want more daylight, how about Alaska? I hear summers aren’t too cold.

Hey Jammer,

Did you check out the Transformers movie yet? You should write a review on it.

I’m seeing Transformers tomorrow probably. There won’t be a full review, but I might do a brief recap of all the movies I’ve seen this summer, which has been more than in many recent summers.

^ Yeah. Tell me about it. I haven’t been to the theatre this much since…well….ever.

Here are my very brief scores on movies I have seen this spring and summer (all out of 4 possible stars) 🙂

Blood Diamond ==> ****
300 ==> ***
Spider Man 3 ==> **
Pirates 3 ==> ** 1/2
Blades of Glory ==> *** 1/2
Shrek The Third ==> ** 1/2
Ratatouille ==> ****
Die Hard 4 ==> ***
Transformers ==> ****
